How old does my child have to be to attend KidsArts?

Your child must be at least five years old to attend KidsArts. For our summer program we require children to be five years old by January 1 of 2018. We are unable due to our license to except children under the age of five. If we suspect that you have enrolled a child under the age of five we may ask for copies of the child's immunization or birth certificate.

How many days must my child be registered to attend KidsArts?

Children must be registered for a minimum of two days per week and can register for up to five.

Is KidsArts a licensed program?

Yes, KidsArts is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). We are licensed to register up to 55 students per day ages 5-14. We have quarterly health inspections and quarterly fire inspections. We are relicensed every two years but we have yearly unannounced inspections. All of our staff and interns receive a fully comprehensive background check. This includes: a Federal Fingerprint check, a NSOR check (National Sex Offender Registry), CORI check (Criminal Offender Record Information) and a SORI check (Sex Offender Registry Information) and DCF (Department of Children and Families) check.

Are the staff First Aid/CPR/AED certified?

Yes! All the KidsArts staff receive First Aid/CPR/AED training by a certified trainer.

 

Do you allow students to drop in?

Children registered in our program can drop in on a day they don't normally attend for $25 assuming we have space. Children not registered with us may not attend as a drop-in.

 

Can we visit your program?

Yes! Our doors are always open during program hours. To make sure someone is available to show you around contact us in advance of your visit!

 

Do you accept interns?

Yes! We have worked with interns from Lesley University, Wheelock College and ABCD. Most internships are unpaid but students receive school credit. If you are interested in interning please contact us.
